Our Story

Women professionals with social commitment who wanted to contribute professional inputs to provide essential services and support to women and childre n from weaker sections of the society came together in 1984 to form a women’s organization with a belief that empowerment and leadership among women is determined by the extent of their participation in economic, social and political spheres. In 1984, MCM was a small group operating for women who needed economic support. We worked with women gas victims of Bhopal and provided them raw material and marketing support in garment production specially school uniforms in which 1000 women were involved as producers.
